Swimming at the Clarke Splash Pool, pool, barbecue grounds, recreation garden, equestrian garden, skate park, off-leash dog park, cycle lanes, all abilities parks, tot lots, sand volleyball court, fishing pond, nature center, six sports fields, bathrooms, link to the Iron Horse Trail.

NOTE:

  • Ball fields 3-6 are restricted to repair from 6:30 a.m. every Thursday. To 14:30 p.m. Ball fields 1 and 2 are closed each Wednesday from 6:30 a.m. for repairs. To 14:30 p.m. And closed March through April for refurbishment.

  • Booking a Picnic Group area

  • You can book a group picnic area and get a permit in several ways. Reserved picnics may be scheduled up to 120 days beforehand. If your picnic date you have picked is more than 120 days out, you can not book your picnic. Picnic areas will always be reserved at least five days before the day of the gathering.

  • When your picnic date is under 120 days and longer than 5 days, you should test the availability and book one of four ways to book an suitable day:

  • 301 N San Carlos Cycle (9am-4pm, M-F) In person at Heather Farm Community Center

  • On (925) 943-5858 (9am-4pm, M-F) by cell

  • By e-mail: Recreation@walnut-creek.org (only available)

  • Dogs: Dogs may be off-leash at the north end of the park's dog park. The dogs must be on leash in all other areas of the park. Dogs are not permitted on ball fields.

  • Hours to the Dog Park:

Weekdays-7 am-8 pm (or evening sunset)

Weekends & Weekends-8 a.m.-8 p.m. (or sunset)

Locked from 7 am-noon every Tuesday, for routine maintenance.
