Berean Christian High School

Berean Christian High School is a private, Christian co-educational high school in Walnut Creek, California , USA, serving 9th through 12th. Its name is derived from the Bereans in Acts 17:11. The school has been in the East Bay since 1969, having moved to its current Walnut Creek campus in 1985.

 

Berean Christian High School has served in the San Francisco East Bay Area since 1969, providing a distinctive, Bible-centered, college-preparatory education to develop life-long followers of Christ. Caring, committed and highly qualified teachers foster and challenge the ninth through twelfth grade students to become lifelong learners through a program of academic and extracurricular excellence.

 

Their aim is to serve families who want not only private education, but a distinctly Christian education for their children. Drawing from a diverse Christian community, the school partners with parents and their churches to develop the unique, God-given talents of students to their highest potential.

Their staff is committed not only to academic excellence, but also to teaching students how to apply the truths of the Word of God to every aspect of life. Berean Christian's well-rounded academic program fosters an environment in which students are encouraged to discover and develop their passions and talents, to ensure that they are ready for college and beyond.

 

The School's Visual and Performing Arts Program allows students to develop and express their individual talents through a variety of mediums. From painting and drawing, digital design and photography, choirs, jazz bands, stage designs and drama, our students are invited to explore their creativity and improve their artistic skills.

 

The school's parent group is a great way for our families to get in touch. They host a number of events and opportunities for parents to serve together to foster relationships that last a long time after their children have left Berean. One of these events is a social event for the incoming Freshman Class, which invites all students enrolled to join Berean in the following year for a fun evening at the school, packed with great food, games and fellowship. This time together provides an opportunity for new parents to arrange carpools and help new families to feel welcome and connected even before their children start their high school careers.
