We develop each student's own potential through high expectations of student performance, strong efforts toward involvement of parents and a dedicated, enthusiastic staff.

Distance Learning

Students are supposed to be working on assignments at this time. They realize that learning from a distance has difficulties, and they are here to help! Teachers are available for at least an hour each weekday; some teachers work on emails, while others conduct video conferences. Be sure to check out the following resources for more information about how to join technology courses.

They provide students with homework assistance, Nutrition Education, Garden Education, structured P.L.A.Y activities, organized sports, STEM and Coding Technology, all in a safe place where they can express their own creativity. Their motto is, "Children Learning to Change the World"

Safety Plan

Each school site is mandated by Mt. Diablo School District to maintain a comprehensive school safety plan which is reviewed and updated by the site and approved annually by the Board of Education.

The Comprehensive School Safety Plan is used to provide information on the policies, activities and procedures of each school to maintain a healthy school atmosphere. Sections 32280-32289 of the California Education Code detail the criteria for all schools running every kindergarten and all grades 1 to 12, including the planning and implementation of a school safety plan that is specific to the needs and resources of that particular school.

Homeless and Foster Youth

Riverview Middle School is committed to ensuring that all students arrive ready and able to learn at school. The Homeless Outreach Program for Education (HOPE) was founded by MDUSD to provide education and related resources for homeless students in the 12th grade of preschool. HOPE helps to provide student food, transportation to school if necessary, and referrals to community services. For more information on Homeless and Foster Youth programs, visit the Education Network for Homeless Outreach (HOPE).
