About Paso Nogal Park:

There are 8 Paso Nogal Park entrances and an open area. On Paso Nogal Lane, the main entrance is located. Others include Kiki Lane, Boies Drive, Gail Drive, Morello Avenue, Odin Drive, and Paso Nogal Court.

In general, the park and open space area is bordered to the south by Taylor Boulevard, east by Morello Avenue and north by Paso Nogal Lane.

This park is designated as an open space and provides a fenced area (2.5 acres), small picnic areas, and about 63 acres of scenic hiking trails in the dog training park.

Dogs must be AT ALL TIMES on a leash when in the fenced area of the off-leash dog park. The Open Space Hiking Trails are part of this policy. Please respect others on the trails who may or may not like a friendly (or not-so-friendly) greeting from your canine company.

Please report an incident to Contra Costa Animal Services at (925) 608-8400 for reports of uncooperative dogs or dog owners.

GOOD NEWS! PASO NOGAL DOG PARK IS NOW OPEN!

As of 5 June 2020, the public health order of Contra Costa Health Services has been modified to enable the use of dog parks. Please note that the following terms of use apply:

1.Act 6 ft aside. A person must not enter a dog park if it is not possible to easily maintain at least six feet of separation from all other people inside the park at that time.

2. Cover Your Face. Face coverings must be worn at all times, with the exception of individuals to whom an exception is available under the Face Covering Order.

Rules for Paso Nogal Off-Leash Dog Exercise Area

Dogs must be at least 6 months old, up-to-date and free of infectious conditions with current vaccinations. Dogs are expected to display current identification tags on the collar.

After their puppies, owners/handlers are obligated to clean up. Via membership donations, doggie bags are given (PH DOG).

For each of their dogs, all owners / handlers using the area must hold a leash.

Since it destroys the turf and poses a risk for other users, owners/handlers must keep their dogs from digging.

Dogs are not permitted in the sun.

The number of dogs per owner is limited to no more than 4 per handler.

In Off Leash Training Areas, there are two fenced dog areas: one for dogs under 25 lbs and the other for larger dogs.
