San Ramon Valley High School is a four-year public high school located in the East Bay neighborhood of Danville, California , USA. It is part of the Unified School District of San Ramon Valley. It's the National Blue Ribbon School of the Blue Ribbon Schools Program as well as the California Distinguished School.

Founded in 1910, San Ramon Valley High School (SRVHS) is located in Danville, Contra Costa County, approximately 35 miles east of San Francisco. In the 1950s and 1960s, Danville and the other agricultural communities in the San Ramon Valley began to experience extensive suburban development.

In 1960, the population for the entire valley was 12,700; however, after significant growth, the current population of Danville alone is 43,574. SRVHS serves the upper middle-class suburban communities of Alamo, Danville and San Ramon. Having earned the honor of being a California Distinguished School (1988, 1996, 2001, and 2009) and a National Blue Ribbon School (2002), San Ramon Valley High School has been, and continues to be, a source of pride for the community.

To help support students to achieve our Expected Schoolwide Learning Results, parent support groups donate thousands of hours of time and raise more than $300,000 annually to support school programs. Among these groups are the PTSA, the Academic Boosters, the Fine Arts Association, the Athletic Boosters and the Wolftones. Community groups, including the Kiwanis Club, Rotary, Business Roundtable and Soroptimists, provide services, awards and scholarships to the school.

Through the efforts of parents and community members, SRVHS has become one of the first state schools to provide a non-substance Graduation Night. The continuous support of parent and community groups helps San Ramon Valley High maintain its tradition of educational excellence. In turn, students give back to the community by providing volunteer services through a variety of programs.

The San Ramon Valley High School Athletic Department's long-standing tradition and philosophy has shown that participation in athletics is an integral part of the educational process. Many of the lessons that athletics can learn include: sportsmanship, self-discipline, teamwork, commitment and self-confidence development, as well as dealing with success and overcoming adversity. These are lessons that are going to last a lifetime. The true value of high school athletics lies in learning these lessons and working to develop future leaders.

The San Ramon Valley High School Parent Teacher Student Association (PTSA) was chartered on April 13, 1944. In 2019, we celebrate 75 years of service in the San Ramon Valley community. SRVHS PTSA is a member of the San Ramon Valley Council of PTAs, and the Thirty-Second District PTA.

The SRVHS Renaissance program of the school is a part of a devoted leadership program with an objective to help motivate individual attendance, academic excellence, and citizenship. Renaissance not only reaches out to the entire campus, but it also strives to recognize all individual students. The Renaissance program is based on the principles of performance, promotion, and partnership. The four target areas of the Renaissance program:
