"A Canal Runs Through It."

This is a small park, adjacent to the Contra Costa Canal Trail in Pleasant Hill. It is a pretty area, with some amazing views. There's also a nice bench and grove, fittingly called the "Bush Grove."

So although this is a calm and serene area, there's really not much to this park. Look quickly, because it'll be past in a second

However, you’ll truly appreciate the beautiful sign of Las Juntas Open Space, painted on a wooden material. It seems that you’re going to enter a farm or a country side.

Just a bit of land next to the canal that no one has built on.  Small with no amenities but nice.  There are a couple of picnic tables and fire pits.  There is a nice bench that gives you a great view of Mount Diablo.  It's a great place to stop during a walk at night.

Great views of Mt. Diablo in an almost completely undeveloped space. No parking, no restrooms. But as everyone that visits the place said - “Simply gorgeous views!”

All in all, a pretty nice small park with a bench. Not intended to stop and spend some time there, but a great view and place to rest and get some pictures of Mt. Diablo along the Contra Costa canal trail.
