This 10-acre community park is located in the subdivision of Highlands Ranch and is visible from Buchanan Road. Highlands Ranch Park is a multi-use recreation facility that provides something for all and contains many facilities. The construction of the park took place in the fall of 2006. There is a fenced play area (ages 2-5) with several different features, including a playground, bouncers, climbers and two baby swings. A separate, larger playground for ages 5-12 is also open. This park has a multi-purpose baseball/softball field, and at the bottom of the basin, there is a one-acre open turf area that many thinks works fine for soccer or football games.

A sand beach volleyball court, a full-size asphalt basketball court, and a tennis court are other sporting activities offered. There is a large picnic site at Highlands Ranch that is covered by a gazebo and includes 6 picnic tables and two large BBQ pits. For rental, this area is open. Between the tennis court and the beach volleyball court, there are 4 other picnic tables. There is a lighted cement walking path in this park that parallels the park perimeter and a distance sign marking the .35 mile walk. Other facilities include toilets, fountains for drinking, parking and benches.

They have 2 play structures, a baseball field, basketball court, tennis court, volleyball area, and a soccer field. They also have a large, covered picnic area right in the center of it all. You can reserve this space from the city of Pittsburg on non-holiday weekends.

The only bad thing about this park is the wind. We all know that when we are playing a sport, the wind can carry the ball in unwanted directions. It may bring a little inconvenience to the players but you’ll still have a great time staying at this park with family and friends.
