A new shelter-in-place ORDER HO-COVID19-14 was issued by the Contra Costa County Health Officer on May 18, 2020 to supersede the previous Order issued on April 29, 2020. The new order entered into force at 6:00 a.m. On May 19, 2020, and "will continue to be in place until the Health Officer extends, rescinds, supersedes or amends it in writing."

 

The following ballfields have been locked and are only available for licensed field rental use until further notice due to the illegal use by ballfields of large groups not complying with the new Contra Costa County Health Order and directives:

 

  • Tavan Ballfield

  • Waterfront Fields 1, 2, 3, 4

  • Mountain View/Borman

  • Hidden Lakes Upper and Lower

 

(26 Acres) On Chilpancingo Parkway, Morello Lane. Two ballfields, basketball court, sand volleyball court, multi-use area, jogging track, building concessions, bathroom, two playgrounds, trails to and around the lake and Secret Valley Park and a large parking lot. First come first serve are all picnic areas.

 

Fishing- A fishing license is required to fish in the lake.

 

Hidden Lakes Park Loop is a moderately trafficked loop route of 2.9 kilometers located near Martinez, California. For all ability levels, the trail is good and is mainly used for hiking, walking, and running.

Beautiful spot for an easy hike located in a residential neighborhood in Martinez.  From the parking lots you can access the hidden lakes in a brief 10 minute walk in either direction.  The park has a beautiful new soccer field.  They have a snack shack, ample parking, and bathrooms. There are also baseball diamonds and a play structure.  If you walk behind those, the trails to the hills and hidden lake lie.  It's nice that you can customize if you want a little elevation or an easy walk throughout the trails.  The pond is gorgeous and you can go fishing in it as well.  There are many photo ops with the trees, pond, and bridges throughout this park.
