Diablo Vista Middle School is a beautiful school located at the eastern most point in the town of Danville. Opened in August 2000, Diablo Vista served 343 sixth and seventh grade students in its inaugural year. We currently represent 982 sixth, seventh and eighth grade students in our 18th year. We are proud to provide all students with a strong, standard-based education while helping them through the difficult years of transition between primary and secondary school.
Our campus includes stationary and mobile computer labs, laptop carts, a studio for video production, five fully equipped science labs, classrooms for choral and instrumental music, an art lab, and a food lab.
A state-of - the-art, completely networked Library / Media Center includes a library, a computer lab with 32 networked computers, a conference room, learning centers and offices for our support managers, psychologists and speech therapists.
The teachers, parents and students have enjoyed using the 15-acre field since 2007, which includes a state-of - the-art all-weather track and field, a full-size baseball field, a full-size softball field, and 90 school and public parking spaces. Diablo Vista Middle School is proud to open the campus’ gymnasium and locker rooms in the fall of 2008. In 2010 the school opened four new classrooms with a flexible learning environment. During the summer of 2011, a solar power project was completed and everyone now enjoys using the sun power generated by the solar panels on the upper parking lot.
The teachers and staff members are supportive and caring to the students. And communication with the parents are excellent. This is a school that recognizes the gifts and talents every student has to offer. It is obvious that teachers do not work "for" the principal- they work "with" her.
