Charlotte Wood Middle School is a highly rated, public school located in Danville, CA. It has 1,029 students in grades 6-8 with a student-teacher ratio of 24 to 1. According to state test scores, 71% of students are at least proficient in Math and 75% in Reading.

Unlike some of the smaller districts in neighboring regions, the academics, athletics, arts and sciences are exceptional. The school also has a phenomenal grounds and location in an older community.


Charlotte Wood Middle School is doing an exceptional job for the students and parents.  The office staff is always polite and helpful, the teachers are passionate and will exceed anyone’s expectations.  It had high academic standards, and was extremely supportive (all the kids new each other, as well as the staff and families). The counselors are also helpful.  The teachers are friendly and engaging. The families and kids attending the school have been welcoming and kind, and the educational expectations are high. 


Middle school is an interesting and often challenging time and place.  There is no perfect place for 6-8th graders, but in Charlotte Wood Middle School. The campus is also well-maintained and the students take full advantage of the beautiful adjacent park for many activities.
