Since 1925, Hank and Frank's Bicycle have been serving all your bicycle needs. They're offering a lifetime free service for as long as you own your bike. (Original owner) as well. When you purchase a bike from Hank & Frank Bicycles, you're guaranteed "Free Lifetime Service." Lifetime service applies to normal adjustments that all bikes need from time to time.

Free services include everything that is included in the standard tune-up.

  • All hardware on the bike is inspected and tightened to specifications. This includes brakes, deraileurs, cranks, chainrings, handlebar, stem, seatpost, saddle, pedals and wheels

  • Deraileur adjustments due to cable stretch/housing compression

  • Brake adjustments due to normal brake pad wear or cable stretch/housing compression

  • Wheel truing/tensioning

  • Bearing adjustments including hubs and headsets

  • Lubrication of cables/housing and chain

Free service does not include:

  • Flat tires/tubes. Although we try to encourage the use of flat tire reducing products such as Slime sealant and/or tires with a kevlar barrier there are just too many variables that can occur once the bike has left the store. The normal labor rate of $12 plus parts per flat fix will apply.

  • Worn out or broken parts. Parts like worn brake pads, frayed brake/deraileur cables, broken or cracked brake/shift housing, bent deraileur hangers, worn grips, stretched chain from normal use, twisted chain from derailment, worn drive train components such as chainrings, cassettes or deraileur pulleys. The normal labor rates to remove and replace parts will apply.

  •  Hydraulic disc brake bleeding. All hydraulic disc brakes need periodic service which includes but is not limited to replacement of hydralic brake fluid, brake pads and seal replacement.

When you and your family buy a kid's bike from Hank&Frank, along with their life-time free tunes, they also offer a business option when it's time for a bigger bike. They see how fast their young customers grow and want to ensure that they continue to have the best cycling experience by always being on the right bike without breaking the bank.

Any new child's bike from Hank&Frank is eligible within three years of purchase: from balance bikes all the way to 24 "multi-speed bikes. BMX bikes are not considered children's bikes even though they share the same size of the wheel. Balance bikes are eligible for a 50 percent buy-back offer.

Your bike will be evaluated for repairs to make it safe and attractive for the next child. They will make an offer based on the condition of the bike, the estimated repair, and the expected resale value as part of their refurbished bike fleet. They want to keep the process as transparent as possible. After all, your child's bike could very well be on our sale floor the next time you come in!

If the repair estimate exceeds the resale value of the bike, they will gladly accept your bike as a donation to Trips-For-Kids and provide a trade-in value of $20 towards a new bike.
