Established in 1924 by a small group of Chicago hardware store owners, Ace changed the retail landscape by encouraging individual stores to purchase bulk products to save money and buy at the lowest possible price. This relationship has allowed even smaller stores to compete successfully in retail in spite of larger stores on their market. And to this very day, Ace Hardware Corporation is still owned solely and exclusively by local Ace retailers.

 

Since 1991, Ace has been a proud partner of the Children's Miracle Network (CMN) Hospitals and the American Red Cross in disaster relief efforts. Through Ace retailers and customers, vendor partners and corporate team members, we raised over $100 million to CMN Hospitals and supported the American Red Cross through both monetary and product donations in the event of a disaster.
